Successful Hockey , Dance i The Hikurangi Hockey Club benefited considerably as the result of the dance held at the Whakapara Hall during the week. Red and black, the club colours, predominated in the scheme of decorations. Mr Tilton was M.C. Novelty dances included a confetti dance, won by Mr Ernest Hyber and partner, and a Monte Carlo, in which Mrs Cadman and Mr Meyer were successful. During the evening, two club prizes were presented, one to Miss Joyce Cadman, as being the most improved hockey player during last season, and the other to Miss Vera Laverick, the club’s most consistent player. Both financially and socially, the function was a decided success.
