Hitler’s Sweeping Offer To Lithuania
(Received 3.0 p.m.) LONDON, October 27,
The Warsaw correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says it is reported from Kaunas that Herr Hitler sent a memorandum to Dr. Semtona, Lithuanian President, offering him a 15 years' nen-aggression pact, including a frontier guarantee, on the following conditions: — (1) That Lithuania renounces the non-agression pact with the Soviet.
(2) That she revises the existing trade agreements so as to dh’ect all agricultural exports exclusively to Germany, in exchange for German goods. (3) That she transforms Memel district into a free zone similar to Danzig.
Lithuania is asked to reply before the end of the year.
