Waipu Pioneer Passes

[Special to "Northern AclvOcute .”] AUCKLAND, This Day.

Tlie death has occurred in Auckland of Mr Angus Norman McKay, aged 82. He was the third son of the late Mr Roderick McKay, who left Nova Scotia with the Rev. Norman McLeod in the ship Margaret when ft came to New Zealand with the first settlers for Waipu. Mr McKay was the last surviving member of his father's family, which consisted of six well-known athletic brothers, and one sister. He was also the last of the first generation of McKays in Waipu. He is survived by his wife and four daughters.
