Omahuta And Tutekehaa Meet

The Tutekehua Cricket Club opened its season on Saturday with a practice game again Omahuta at Tutekehua. R. Crallan has been elected selector, C. M. Robertson captain, and J. Woolford vice-captain. Omahuta batted first and compiled 141, the best scores being: C. Campbell 33, V. Cauty 26, A. Auton 20, J. Cauty 15, and F. Walker 10. Bowling for Tutekehua, Sewell took two wickets for 17 runs, McKay two for 21, Robertson five for 19, Creighton one for 42. Tutekehua just failed to reach Omahuta’s total making 132. Best scores were: McFarland 53, Sewell 19, Robertson 14 not out, Woolf ord 10. Bowling for Omahuta, Walker took five wickets for 45 runs, Crane three for 22, M. Auton one for 18, A. Auton one for 20. Tables Turned. In a return game at Omahuta on Labour Day, the Omahuta side turned the tables, winning by 26 runs on the first innings, Best scores for Omahuta were: J. Walker 43, D. Mcßae 23. F.
