Kerikeri Sports Marred By Rain

The Kerikeri Sports Club was very unfortunate on Labour Day, when rain set in and marred, to seme extent, what was confidently expected would be even a better meeting than that of last year.

Austen 1. 880 yards, open: M. Austen (30yds) 1, G. Donaldson 2. Time, 2.22. 12-inch standing chop: Bob Harris 1. Harrison 2. Time, 21 4-ss. 12-inch standing chop; F. Ogle 1, McAllister 2. G. K, Williams 3. Nine-inch novice chop: F. Ogle 1. S, Smith 2. G. K. Williams 3. Underhand chop: G K. Williams 1, F. Ogle 2. The points prize for flat events was ! won by H. Morell. Judges for flat events were Messrs R. Niblock and W. Henson. For the axemen's events the judges were Messrs F. Butler, H. Hulme and G. Drake.
