Rain overnight and this morning made the track a bit greasy for training at Eilerslie this morning. Number 2 grass track was used, and some useful trials were recorded, the best being those of Land Girl, Palmint. Ohmaha and Marie’s Acre. Paint, after taking 14 seconds for his first furlong, completed five in 1.5 3-5. He wont very evenly throughout. Bronze Emerald was given strong work, but was not doing better than 15 seconds to the furlong. Kelly, after thing 40 seconds for his first three furlongs, completed six in 1.21 3-5.
Land Girl in First. ! Over a similar distance, Land Girl j was in front of Palmint in 1.16 3-5.1 They ran the first three furlongs in j 38 1-5 seconds. | knight of Australia and Bonny j Belle were timed to run the last half- j mile of their work in 53 seconds. ' Tybalt got to the end of six furlongs in 1.21 2-5, the first three taking 41 seconds. Tip Toes strode over six furlongs in 1.20 4-5, running his last half-mile in 54 seconds., Vaal Star and Summary were on terms at the end of half a mile in ] 51 1-5 seconds. Over a similar dis- \ tance. Electric Spear registered 52 4-5 i seconds. I Commetarian and Bright Idea were ] given an easy six furlongs, taking 1.23, ! the first three being covered in 40 1-5 ! seconds. Glen Abb cantered round to the three-furlong post and x-an home in 41 seconds. Gamos finished up useful work by running his last half-mile in 56 2-5 seconds. Camelia, after taking 27 3-5 seconds for her fii’st two furlongs, went on to complete five in 1.7 4-5. The Trimmer Restrained. The Trimmer ran six furlongs in 1.19 4-5, the first three taking 39 3-5 seconds. He was under restraint throughout. Master Vaals ran the last half-mile of his work in 54 2-5 seconds. Royal Abb sprinted three furlongs easily in 42 1-5 seconds. Fleetwind was not bustled while traversing six furlongs in 1.23 3-5. Over a similar distance. Silver Quex took 1.22 4-5.' Maheko just shaded Kenspeckle and. Commie throughout half a mile, which took 52 2-5 seconds.
