British Cabinet Meeting

(Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 20. An exceptionally large crowd remained in Downing Street for the duration of the ministers’ meeting, which was attended by Sir Neville Henderson, Ambassador to Berlin. It lasted from 11 a.m. till 1.40. Neither No. 10 nor the Foreign Office is disposed to amplify the bare official reports, which stated: “The Foreign Secretary fully reported on the international situation and the ministers express entire agreement with the action already taken, like-' wise the policy to be pursued in the future. No further meeting has been arranged, but ministers will remain in reach of London.”

Mr. Chamberlain will go to Balmoral tonight; Dr. Benes, President of Czechoslovakia, says a Prague cable, will not meet Herr Henlien, Sudeten today.
