The Mystery Of Grey Owl
The London and provincial press was agitated some few months ago with a controversy over (he identity of Grey Owl. The strange happenings over Gi’oy Owl's lost broadcast for children before he left England, his subsequent, all too sudden and deplored death, led to much imaginative invention about who he really was, this strange, strong, lovable man of the American backwoods, whose way with animals was so wonderful, and whose gift of telling animal stories made him one of the world's most widely cherished authors. His friend. Mr Lovat Dickson, has announced an autumn publication dealing fully with his life. For the present, as a memorial,- Mr Lovat Dickson has edited and published (at 2/6) an illustrated booklet, “The Green Leaf.” It contains six Chapters, including “The Passing of Grey Owl,” “Some Letters of Gyey Owl,” “Grey Owl’s Philosophy,” &nd “Grey Owl’s Farewell to the Children.”
