Roller Mills Shield Tourney
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”! AUCKLAND. This Day.
The Roller Mills Shield Rugby tourney was continued at the showgrounds yesterday. The heaviness of the ground made conditions more suitable for the forwards, but there were occasional flashes of interesting play by the backs. Northland and Auckland Central lead together in the A section, and Auckland North is at the top of the B section. A further round was played today, and on Friday afternoon the final will be decided between the winners of each section. Results were as follows: —
A section. —Auckland Central 6, beat Hamilton 3; Northland 5 (Smith a try and conversion), beat Auckland East

issue was in doubt until the last ten minutes, when the Northland pack gained the upper hand. B section.—Thames Vallc.v 14. heat Wnipa 8; Auckland North ii. beat South Auckland 0
