Mr. Wilkinson At Waipu
An enthusiastic gathering of about 150 local residents assembled in the Waipu Hall last night to hear an address by Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P. for Egmont. Mr. Wilkinson touched on a number of controversial subjects, stressing the trend of the Government’s legislation towards complete Socialism. His address was similar to that given at Maungatapere on Saturday night, and was most appreciatively received by the audience. Mr. A. J. McKay occupied the chair, and, at the conclusion of his address, the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks on the motion of Mr. D. H. McKenzie, supported by Mr. C. F. Flyger. I -|;
