All records were checked during the trip by an Automobile Association Official acting as observer. No ‘coasting, 5 no dawdling, no special equipment, and no helping winds . . . 465 miles at an average speed of 31.1 miles per hour, despite heavy rains and head winds at times, and road works with miles of sticky mud. Astonishing ? Not at all for Vauxhall Ten owners everywhere are getting similar results, and a South Island test run between Christchurch and Invercargill gave equally good results miles per gallon, proving that you can get ‘better than 40 miles per gallon in a Vauxhall Ten. 5 RESULT of TEST RUN AUCKLAND to WELLINGTON on AUGUST 16th, 1938. No mechanical f«*lt or puncture was encountered.
