(Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY. Juno 13. The Australian Jockey Club's Hurdle Race, the principal event at the club's winter meeting at Randwick today, was won in record time by Syntax. The Amateur Cup was won by Tweedside, from twelve others. The Exeter Handicap was taken by Sedunum, from Normandy and Red Thespian, with Deputy Ruler, Golden Chance and Red Rosebud unplaced. Details:— A.J.C. Hurdle. Race, of 650 sovs.; two miles and three furlongs.—Syntax, 9.2, 1; Capaneus (N.Z.-bred), 10.10, 2; Fugitive, 9.0, 3. Six started. Three lengths; five lengths. Time; 4.193 —a race record. A.J.C. Amateur Cup, of 250 sovs., and trophy valued at £SO; one mile.— Tweedside, 10.7, 1; Ashbridge, 10.4, 2; Officer, 9.2, 3. Thirteen started. Threequarters of a length; four and a-half lengths. Time: 1.40.
