Large Coal Deal Mooted
[Per Press Association. Copyright.l DUNEDIN. This Day. The likelihood of a large coal deal taking place in Dunedin shortly was mentioned by Mr I. S. MacDonald. who is a promoter of a company which is now being formed to take over the assets, plant and mines of the Kaitangata Coal Company, Ltd. The proposed capital of the company, he said, is £550,000. The company proposes to form a harbour at the mouth of the Molyneux River, and use its own ships for deliviery of coal to various ports in the North and South Islands. The promoter states that reports furnished by reliable engineers indicate that the formation of a harbour at Kaitangata is possible by placing breakwaters and half-tide walls at the Malau mouth of the Molyneux River,
