English Ladies Open Tour; Anckland Beaten

| Auckland saw bright ladies’ hockey on Saturday when an Auckland eleven were defeated s—l by the visiting English team. The match was played as a curtain-raiser to the football at Eden Park, Auckland rallied early to the attack, and England conceded two penalty corners. Once the visitors got the run of the heavy turf, however, they quickly opened their score. After 15 minutes play.
