On a ground showing only a few. soft patches after heavy mid-week j rain, and otherwise in surprisingly good order, the second Test match between the English • Amateur Soccer team and New Zealand was played on Carlaw Park on Saturday afternoon in splendid weather conditions. England led by two goals to nil at half-time, by which time it was estimated that 20,000 people were present. In the second half, the j visitors took a decisive grip on the game and at the final whistle had six goals on the board. New Zealand did not score.
