University Extension Lectures. The first of the series of lectures under , the University Extension scheme will be given in the Whangarei Town Hall next Wednesday , night, under the auspices of the Whangarei Borough Council. The lectures are of a distinctly popular character, arranged to give to people beyond the University Colleges the advantage of personal contact with members of the university staff. The lectures are free and will be continued every week until August 25. Professors W. A. Sewell, A. B'. Fitt, C. G. Cooper, F. P. Worley and R. M. Algie, and Messrs W. "T. G. Airey and H. U. Rodwell, lecturers, will be the speakers at the different meetings.
