Ruatangata West
A very successful seven-a-side football and basketball tournament was held at Ruatangata West school on Friday, June 12. Teams from Ruatangata West, Kauri, Matafau, Purua, Te Horo and Ngararatunua schools participated. A large gathering of friends and parents attended and tea was kindly provided at mid'-day by the ladies of Ruatangata. The winners of the sections were:— Basketball: Senior.—Kauri; bantams, Ngararatunua. Football: Senior.—Ngararatunua. Representative fifteen a side football and nine a side basketball teams were picked to play at Whangarei on June 19.
