Championship Sheep Dog Trials

(Per Press Association. Copyright . 3 BLENHEIM, This Day. The New Zealand championships in two events and the South Island championship in one were decided at the sheep dog trials which were continued here on Saturday in ideal weather.

The South Island, pull and yarding events resulted as follows:—J. McGowensten’s (Hawke’s Bay), Zoe, 56J points, possible 60, 1; H. H. Harris’ (Taihape), Eyle, 55|, 2; W. Smythe’s (Woodville) Queen, 54J, 3. N.Z. Heading Champion.—R. J, Wiffen’s Bett, 1; W. Whyte’s (Napier) Boy, 2; R. M. Wilson’s Fly, 3. Yarding Champion.—W. Smythe’s Queen, 1; R. J. Wiffen’s Bett, 2; A. R. M • Wilson’s Fly, 3. Champion trophies for events so far decided have been won as follows: — J, R. Corrigan Memorial Shield, R. J. Wiffen; Commemoration Shield, R. J. Wiffen; Prosperity Shield, J. McGowensten; T. D. McLeod Memorial, R. J. Wiffen; Lilico Trophy, R. J. Wiffen.
