The Greymouth Jockey Club’s winter meeting was held on Saturday in fine, sunny weather, before a large attendance. The track was soft. The totalisator handled £5,156, against £3,428 for the 1933 meeting, and £2,987 for the 1934 meeting.—
Flying.'Handicap, of 65 sovs; five furlongs and a half. —(2) Land Raid, 9.8, 1; (4) Arena, 8.6, 2; (1) Arrow Rose, 9.4, 3. Delium and Queen Linda were scratched. Two lengths; a head. Time —1.12 4-5. Winter Handicap, of 80 sovs; one mile.—(l) Paper Note, 9.0, 1; (2) Roy Bun, 8.6, 2; (3) Gold Boy, 8.6, 3. Second Innings and Potent were scratched. Three lengths; six lengths. Time—l.so. Kaiata Trot, of 70 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—(7) Flying Helen, scr, 1; (1) Ghieftainess, scr, 2; (8) Bridget Brough, scr, 3. AH Kings, Green Tanger, King Gussie and Lough Erne were scratched. Three lengths each way. Time —3.3 2-5. Final Handicap, of 65 sovs; six furlongs.— (3) Primak, 8.4, 1; (1) Monipere, 9.4, 2; (2) Metal Bird. 9.6, 3. Arrow Rose, Wine Card, Delium and Royal Amphora were scratched. A length' and a half each way. Time —• 1.29.
