Strikers To Vacate Chrysler Plants

(Received 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 25. A message from Lansing, Michigan, states that the Governor,, Mr Frank Murphy, obtained an agreement with Mr John Lewis, to order the immediate evacuation of eight Chrysler plants. Mr Chrysler agreed not to resume production at the affected plants or to move the machinery during the collective bargaining negotiations which are to follow.

Six thousand sit-dqwn strikers evacuated nine factories at Detroit, and the Chrysler strikers ratified the agreement.

A message from Warm Springs says President Roosevelt announces a series of conferences with leaders of Congress in regard to the sit-down strikes epidemic as soon as he returns to Washington on Saturday.
