Maungaturoto

On Wednesday, March 17th. the beautiful grounds at Mr C. A. Lindsay’s residence (Bank of New Zealand) were an ideal setting for a delightful garden, party. The function was held in aid of the Presbyterian Church funds, and, due to the able riianagemeiit of Mr Lindsay and; the willing committee, the afternoon proved most successful and very enjoyable for the large gathering. The lawns, with sheltering trees and shrubs, were utilised to the fullest advantage in the arrangement of interesting games and competitions, such as clock golf, quoits and fishingpond. A dainty afternoon tea was served in the heifer of the archways by Mesdames W. Grant, Eager, Davis and Misses M. McKenzie and J. FinJayson.
