JMPRISONED on Friday for default in payment of a judgment debt, a Maori, aged 74, was advised that he was to be given hi s freedom because of arrangements made by his solicitor, says a New Plymouth message Before his release was effected, however, he collapsed and died in the prison.— (Press Assn.)
