TANGITERORIA
An enjoyable dance was held in the Tangiteroria Settlers’ Hall on December 29, there being a good attendance of local people and visitors. A gramophone and amplifier, which will probably become a permanent possession of the Hall Club were used to provide the music. Miss Austin, of Dunedin, entertained the company with the sailors’ hornpipe and Irish Jig. Mr C. Clarke was M.C. Mr and Mrs F. Lowe spent the New Year week-end at Waikiekie. Mrs and Miss Austin, of Dunedin, are the guests of Mr and Mrs J. Nash.
Mr and Mrs Firman, of Papakura, ' were the guests of their daughter, Mrs F. C. Clarke, and and Mrs C. C. Clarke, for a few days. Mr and Mrs J. Stewart and their two daughters, of Whangarei, spent a few days with Mrs C. C. Clarke, while Mr J. Short, of Auckland, also paid a flying visit.
Mr Mackey, of Auckland, is on a visit to his son, Mr W. Mackey.
