HOKIANGA CRICKET
BROADWOOD V. ORAWAU
The first game in the second round of the Hokianga Shield matches was played at Tutekehua on November 28 when Broadwood beat Orawau by four wickets and 11 runs. The weather was showery, cold, and unpleasant and play had to cease for a period on account of the rain.
The feature of the game was the excellent fielding of, and three particularly fine catches by Broadwood players, M. Winter, the captain taking an exceptional one. The first six overs which Pratt sent down were maidens.
