MRS FREER’S TRIP TO WELLINGTON

[Per Press Association. Copyright .] WELLINGTON, This Day.

Mrs Freer arrived here yesterday, by the Limited from Auckland. She is staying at a leading hotel. She slipped away from Auckland unostentatiously, but was identified on the train. The closest secrecy was used to cloak her presence here. The management of the hotel stated last night she had left for the South Island, but there is strong reason to believe' that she is in Wellington. It was- reported that Lieutenant Dewar arrived from Australia by the Awatea yesterday, but this is not definitely established.
