IBrltish Official Wireless.l (Received 10 a.m.) . RUGBY, November 29. The steady growth of recent years has continued during the last Post Office year. The total value of transactions with the public for 1935-3 P was £901,000,000, an increase of about £40,000,000 over the previous year. Letter mails reached a new high record, and parcels also showed a marked increase. Inland telegrams rose to 44,500,000, compared with 35,500,000 in the year before.. Money orders showed a small increase, and the issue of postal orders was a new high record at over 311,000,000, with an approximate value of £ 81,000,000. The Savings Bank balance reached the record figure of £390,000,000. Increased sales of unemployment and health insurance stamps reflected the growth of the number of persons .in employment.
