MR W. M. HUGHES INJURED IN FORCED LANDING

(Received 10 a.m.7 BRISBANE, June 11

A flying accident in which Mr W. M. Hughes, Federal Minister of Health, was injured occurred today. A private aeroplane, which was conveying Mr Hughes and another passenger from Sydney to Brisbane, made a forced landing at Beaudesert, 47 miles from Brisbane, owing to rough weather and bad visibility.

Mr Hughes received a broken collar bone and severe shock. The pilot and the other passenger were nc-t hurt. The wing and undercarriage of the machine were broken. A few weeks ago Mr Hughes was injured in a car accident.
