RESERVE BANK PROFIT

[Special to “Northern Advodate”] WELLINGTON, This Day.

According to a statement tabled in the House of Representatives yesterday by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. Walter Nash, the net profit of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand for the year ended March 31, 1936, amounted to £98,012, of which £70,000 was paid in advance to the Consolidated Fund. The report is signed by the governor of the bank, Mr Leslie Lefeaux. and the deputy-governor, Mr W. L. Ward. , . ~ ~ , The report states that a dividend cf 5 per cent on the paid-up capital of the bank had been paid to registered shareholders as on March 31 1936 The remaining sum of £3012 had since been credited Consolidated Fund, making a total of £73,012 so paid over during the year.
