A message from Moorestowii, N.J., states that the Australian Davis Cup team arrived there today for a series of exhibition matches at the Moorestown Field Club’s 'Court. The team gave an outstanding display of tennis, and impressed 1,200 spectators, including several members of the American Davis Cup Committee. Crawford and Quist divided two sets 6 —2, 6—3 respectively, ’' and in the doubles Crawford and Quist defeated McGrath and Sproule, 6—3, 6—o, 6 —2. In a third match Sproule and McGrath won a set each, 6—2. American tennis experts present particularly noted the quality of Quist’s play, both in the singles anct in the doubles, and some consider that he and Crawford will play in the doubles as well as in the singles matches. Sproule, however, gave no intimation as to the assignment of the players. The Australians were entertained at luncheon at the estate of Dr and Mrs Emeln .
