The body of Winnie Elliot, aged 3 2 years, who was drowned in the Ongarue River at Taringamotu, on January 31, was recovered yesterday afternoon, about half a mile from the Taringamotu bridge. ~ After the girl fell off the bridge, Mrs Elliot plunged into the water and made a desperate effort to recover the body.
