DOUGLAS CREDIT CONFERENCE

[Per Press Association. — Copyright .] NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Dissatisfaction with the present monetary system and confidence that a better system could be evolved comprised the general tenor of speeches at the opening session of the annual conference of the New Zealand Douglas Social Credit Movement at New Plymouth yesterday. The delegates were welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. E. R. C. Gilmour, and the Hon. S. G. Smith, M.P., and representatives of local bodies. Great enthusiasiam was shown by the delegates. Speakers included Mr. H. M. Rushworth, M.P., Mrs. Graham, Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, M.P., Mr. C. A. Barrell, M. R, and Mr. W, J. Jordan, M.P. In the next three days meetings will be held throughout North Taranaki.
