SPANISH PARLIAMENT DISSOLVED
(Received 2.30 p.m.) MADRID, January 7. ' ’ The President, Senor Zamora, unexpectedly dissolved Parliament. Elections will be held on February 16 and the second ballot on March 1, and the new Chamber will meet on March 16. The Presidents recent action in suspending the- sitting of Parliament until the end of January aroused a storm of protest, resulting in the summoning of the permanent committee of the, Cortes for today, to decide whether his action was constitutional. , There was even a movement to impeach the Government. The Premier solved the problem by visiting the President and obtaining a dissolution decree.
