FRANCO-ITALIAN PACT
NEGOTIATION PROGRESS. (Received 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, December 28. Negotiations in connection with the proposed Franco-Italian pact have so far progressed that the French Foreign Minister, M. Laval, will probably go to Rome next week. The hope is expressed on the Quai d’Orsay that the visit of M. Laval will not be possible before the Saar plebiscite, but so far no decision has been made.
