QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT BRITISH ASSISTANCE (British Official 'Wireless.') ('Received '12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Juno 14. Dr. L. Rurgin, in the House of Commons, said that the President of the Board of Trade, would make n statement well before the recess —that is. before the end of the month —in regard to the question 'of Government assistance for British-shipping. Replying to a question whether an International conference of the countries affected by-the present depression in the shipping industry would be called to consider laying-up schemes or other proposals likely to mitigate the present’position, Dr. Bnrgin said that these suggestions were among those receiving consideration from the Government.
