NO BREACH OF PRIVILEGE. AGREEMENT WITH REPORT. CHEERS IN THE COMMONS, ‘ (Britisli Official Wireless). RUGBY, Juno 12. Tiie report of Hie Committee on Privileges dealing Avith Mr Winston Churchill's charges Avas debated in Hie House of Commons this evening. The debate was opened by Hie Prime Minister, Mr MacDonald, avlio, in a brief speech, moved that the House agree witli Hie report. Mr .MacDonald traced Hie e Iren instances which led to the question raised by Mr Churchill being referred to the committee. He called attention tol the paragraph in Hie report staling: “Your committee unanimously reports I that no breach of privilege has been committed by Sir Samuel Tloare or Lord Derby.'' The Prime Minister said his duty was to put Hie report before Hie House. It was due to Sir Samuel and Lord Derby that Hie House should give a clear cut-’’decision as to whether or not they had been guilty of a broach of privilege. Mr Clinrcliill said he did not modify his original charge and claimed that (he report established that Sir Samuel and Lord Derby, jointly and severally, from the best of motives and in a perfecllv honourable manner, had endeavoured to deter Hie 'Manchester witnesses from presenting evidence limy desired before Hie .Joint Committee on Indian Const 11 lit lona 1 Reforms. Mr MacDonald’s motion was carried without division, amid cheers.
