Brigadier Albert Bcotuey, properly i secretary of the Salvation Army in! X(!w Zealand, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. On plain Thomas Herd has resigned from the position of eonduetor of liie Wellington Artillery Band and has retired after -1-1 years' service as a hand master in Wellington. Mr H. A. Blundell, who has been attached to the staff ’of the Hank of New Zealand, Whangarei, leaves by boat tonight on transfer to Wanganui. His place has been taken by .Mr !■’. W. Garner., from the Dargaville bran eli. Mr Justice Fair, who has been presiding at the Hamilton sittings of the Supreme Court, will arrive in Auckland during the week-end.
