FEDERAL ELECTION
PREMATURE RUMOURS. (Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Rumours wore current of a possible Federal election about September, but it is now understood that the election will not be considered until next year. The general secretary of the United Australia Party, commenting on the recent speeches of Dr. Earle Page, leader of the party, declared that it was necessary to lie ready for an election at any time, but there Avas no reason at present to suppose that one would come before the ordinary time.
