After having a month ago reduced the salary of the medical superintendent, Dr. J. W. Craven, from £I2OO to £llOO a year, the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday rescinded its decision and restored the cut. The reduction, several members of the board said, tended to “damage the prestige of the Auckland Hospital Board in the eves of the Dominion.”
