NORTHERN CHAMPIONSHIPS. BAY OF ISLANDS FIXTURE, Tlio Bay of Islands Golf championship was hold at Oknihau. After the recent spell of wet weather, the greens had dried out rather hard, and were very fiery. The principal event, the Morgan Cup, was won by Hillyard (Kaikohe), with a total of 1(14, made up of four 41.’s, very consistent play. Hislop (Kaikohe) and Blundell (Bay of- Islands) tied for second place, with •37(5. In the play off, a stroke' contest over six holes, Hislop won. The stroke handicap tournament was won by A. White (Waimate) 82—14—f!S, Blundell 87 —18—09, being runner-up. In the Bogey tournament, Trotter .(Okaihau) and Chisholm (Kaikohe) both finished two down, and Trotter won the trophy on a toss. The championship teams match was won by Kaikohe Club (Hillyard, His-1
lop, Guerin and Chisholm), with a total score of 700. The handicap teams’ match was won by Waimato (While, Burton, Holt and Ueke). At the conclusion of play the trophies wore presented by the president of the Okaihau Club, Afr Struthcrs. CAPTAIN’S TROPHY.
