A VOLGA TRAGEDY
LAUNCH CAPSIZES. 100 LIVES BELIEVED LOST. PICNIC ORGANISERS ARRESTED. (Received 10 a.m.) I MOSCOW, July 14. It is feared that 100 lives have been lost as a result of the capsize of a Volga launch conveying workers and their families* numbering 250, on an excursion. Seventy bodies-have been recovered:
/ The Soviet has ordered the trial of the union organisers Jor allegedly permitting overcrowding of the launch.
