(From Our Own Correspondent.) Band Of Hope. The monthly meeting- of the combined Tauraroa-Maungakaramea Band of Hope was held in the Maungakarame Hall on 'Friday night last. Mr G. Alleoek presided over an attendance of about fifty..The following programme was rendered, followed by supper and games: Pianoforte solo, Miss Eva Williams; recitation, Miss D. Wenzliek; song, Miss Violet Erceg; recitation, Miss Beryl Walker; chorus, school children; recitation, Doreen Williams; pianoforte solos Mac Alleoek; recitation, Bcttina Adams; recitation, Joan Erceg; song, Mr Barker; recitation, flolm Hethoringjjon; chorus, school children; recitation, Richie Adams; recitation, Zola Crawford; address, Mr Barker; recitation, Douglas Churches; playette, Misses Doreen and Eva Williams; pianofortp solo, Mac Alleoek.
