BOUNTIFUL RAIN
IN ALL AUSTRALIAN STATES. PLETHORA IN PLACES. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Bountiful rains have fallen in all States in the past two weeks, each capital reporting excellent seasonal prospects. Victoria, New/South Wales and Queensland have their full share of rain this year, and the wool and wheat outlook has never been brighter. As the result of torrential rains over the southern highlands, the Tumi’t River and its tributary creeks have overflowed, inundating thousands of acres of land. The Tumut police are taking precautions against ■ a seriousflood, as it is still raining heavily. The Campaspe River, in Victoria, has overflowed its banks, and all the lowlying parts of the town of Rochester are submerged. ;
