South Island Rugby match were not returned to the Lancaster Park - pavilion, according to a statement by Mr. .1. K. Moloney at. a inectj in*;' of the management committee of I the Canterbury Rugby Union. He said that three balls had been lost and he | thought that the North Island players had them. Mr. Moloney’s remarks were made on the reception of a letter from the New Zealand Rugby Union, asking for the gross gate takings of the match, and staling that the charge for new fool balls was excessive, as they were still in Christchurch. A member: “Tell them they are in Wellington. ” It was decided to reply along the lines of Mr. Moloney’s report.
