N.Z. HOCKEY PLAYERS. ORANGE OUTCLASSED. (Received 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 3. The New Zealand hockey team today mot and defeated an Orange side by nine goals to one in the presence of a very large crowd of spectators. There were several changes in the New Zealand team to fill the vacancies duo to the visitors feeling the effects of the strenuous tour. The New Zealand forwards were too tricky, while the backs played a great game. Orange played well, but were outclassed. The pace was terrific and the players several times were exhausted. The scorers for New Zealand were: Bay -I, Anthony 2, Best I, Reid 2. For Orange the scorer was Pulley. The match was played in a splendid spirit and there were no injuries.
