Corinthfe, was today convicted of the attempted conversion of a. motor car ami resisting- the police. He was sentenced to a. month's goal on each charge, the terms to be- concurrent, with the order that he be placed aboard when the steamer was .due to loavQ New Zealand. A companion, who was with McCumiskey when attempts were made to start the car and the policed were summoned, got away while a constable was securing McCumiskcy.
