AMERICAN LEGISLATION DISSENTIENT OUTCRY, MANY NATIONS CONCERNED. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 10.28 ami.) WASHINGTON, June 12.. A formal Note has been received from Franco protesting against the proposal to increase the tariff on certain French products which arc being imported into the United States. The Note has been delivered to the State Department.

Formal protests against the tariff have also been filed by Spain, Italy and Persia, while more than a dozen nations have forwarded material through the State Department for consideration by the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee.
