SILVER JUBILEE

REV. FATHER DIG NAN HONOURED (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) THAMES, This Day. A social evening was given to the Very Rev. Father Dignan, priest of the Thames, who has attained the silver jubilee of his ordination. Bishop Liston with a large number of clergy, from all parts of the diocese, were present.

Bishop Liston in his address paid .a high tribute to Father Dignan’s sterling qualities, his good work at the Thames and the esteem in which he is held by both the clergy and laity. The oldest parishioner, Air Jas. MeEnteer, presented a well-filled wallet from the accompanied by an illuminated address, which indicated the love and esteem in which Father Dignan is held by all. Amongst those present at High Mass yesterday were their Lordships Bishops Cleary and Liston.
