OBITUARY
CAPTAIN E. J. HARVEY. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Captain E. J. Harvey, for over 50 years one of the best known master mariners in the New Zealand coastal trade, died last evening at his home in Wellington. He commanded the paddle steamer Manawa.tiu in the seventies and other vessels in. his charge included the Queen of the South (1889 1 —‘1919) and the Kennedy (later in 1919). He gave up seafaring life at the end of that year.
