MEMORIAL PLAQUE AND SCROLL

The Defence Department lias received advice that it has.been decided by the British Government to extend the issue the memorial plaque and scroll, originally designed to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Great War, to all those members, of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, who have died since the war and before September 1, 1925, whose deaths were attributed to war service.
■ The memorial takes the form of a bronze plaque of emblematic design and a parchment scroll with appro priate wording, and with each there is a letter from his Majesty. The scrolls have been received by the De fence Department and are to be issued to the blood next-of-kin of the de ceased soldiers. The plaques have not yet arrived but are expected in a few months’ time.
Applications for the memorials should be addressed to N.Z.E.P. Base Records Office, Wellington, with full particulars.
