Rugby Disputants.—A climax to the dispute between the Brisbane ' and Queensland Eugby Leagues has been reached. The Brisbane League has decided not to renew its affiliation with the Queensland League, but to try to link xnp with country leagues. Enough of Jacob. —A Canberra message Says that Mr J. G. Latham, Federal Attorney-General, informed the House of Representatives that he was not prepared to appoint a Royal Commission to inquire into the allegations by Jaimes Andersen, following on the prosecution and conviction of Jacob Johnson. Rotary Governor.—The Rotary Conference at Canberra nominated without opposition Mr A. C. C. Holtz, of Melbourne, as Governor of the Australian District of the Rotary International. Australia's Population.—Since the census in 1021, the population of Australia has increased by 001,043 persons, representing an average rate of slightly more than 2 per cent, per annum. Of the total of -01336,777 persons, 3,241,530 are males and 3,095,347 females. ■Zeppelin Cruises. —An ambitious programme of summer flights has been arranged by Count Z.opplin, including Greenland and Iceland, ending with a grand tour of the world. The first flight will he to Palestine on March 27, with 75 passengers.
